Wonderful essay.

If I might suggest one thing that the academic in me finds missing: references. I know it's "just" an essay, but given the blight of disinformation we suffer, I think it's important for messages like the one you're trying to spread to include references to give people like me, who are looking to build on ideas like yours, then means to go back to primary sources and make sure our own efforts don't come to include errors or misleading information.
