Race and ethnicity are two different things. A simple google search will reveal much well-evidenced research that highlights the differences.

It's not helpful to conflate these two terms.

Having said that, though, I do agree with the general principle that race is essentially an arbitrary social construct based on variations of superficial characteristics that do not speak at all to the inherent "worth" of individuals.
